Bespoke Jewellery
Commission a unique piece of bespoke jewellery
A piece of bespoke jewellery is designed and made around you and your story rather than chosen from an existing collection. We offer a complete bespoke service from our UK workshop, covering design, gemstone sourcing and handcrafting, so the piece that reaches you exists nowhere else in the world.
Whether you've got a clear idea of what you want or you're not sure where to star, we can guide you through the process to create a piece that is both unique and personal.
You might be looking for a completely new piece of jewellery, to repurpose some existing pieces, or to add your own personal twist to one of the pieces you've spotted in our shop.
Take a look at some of the projects we've worked on below and our step-by-step guide to our bespoke services.

Bespoke Process
1. Get in touch
Please fill out the form below and outline what you’re looking for. Include as much detail as possible - details on the materials you’d like to use and any designs that have caught your eye are helpful. Practical details like deadlines and budgets also give us a bit of a head start when it comes to the consultation.
If you’re not sure of any of the details above at this stage, that’s fine too. For example, you might be looking to create a bespoke engagement ring but feel a little lost with all the options for gemstones and precious metals available. We can offer plenty of advice and help you design a unique piece.
2. Consultation
You may have already given us enough information for us to get started on your piece, however, in most cases we like to arrange a consultation. We can chat on the phone, speak via zoom or meet face-to-face (usually in Brighton or London).
The purpose of this meeting is to gather enough information for us to start on the design. If you have any creative references, whether they’re other pieces of jewellery, pieces of art or even just stories, bring them along.
3. Design
We will create a series of design options for you to take a look at. You’ll receive these via email with a quote for each option. You can choose your preferred design or send feedback for us to rework the ideas until you’re happy.
4. Deposit
Once we’ve settled on a design, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit before we go ahead with the production.
5. Production
We’ll get started on your piece. It will be created using recycled precious metals and the gemstones of your choice. The piece will also be hallmarked, a legal requirement to assure you of the quality of the precious metal.
6. Quality Control
Each bespoke piece is carefully checked over to ensure it meets your design brief and it’s finished to the highest standard with all gemstones securely set.
7. Final Payment
At this stage the final payment will be due and we can send your piece out to you along with some details on how to care for your jewellery.
Timeframe
Please allow 6-8 weeks for bespoke projects. If you require your piece sooner, this may be possible depending on the project requirements, so please do let us know.
Payment Plans
We can sometimes accommodate payment plans, however, please note that we need to have received 50% of the total amount due before we can proceed with production.
Repurposing Jewellery
You might have some pieces of jewellery tucked away in your jewellery box that you just don’t wear anymore. You might have inherited a piece that isn’t your style but still holds great sentimental value to you.
The wonderful properties of precious metals mean that we can transform your pieces using traditional goldsmithing techniques, reusing some or all of the original materials to create a piece that really speaks to you.
We can re-work precious metals into new shapes and forms and give gemstones a new lease of life in new settings, repolishing them if required.
If you have some pieces you’d like to be made into something new, fill out the form below to get the process started. We follow the same steps as with our fully bespoke pieces outlined above.
Customise Our Designs
You might have spotted a piece in one of our collections that you love but want to add a bit of your own personality to.
You might want to change the colour, size or shape of a gemstone, add a design detail or add an engraving.
We can usually accommodate these requests so please get in touch via the contact form below for details.
We usually need 4-6 weeks for customisation projects, however, we may be able to meet a tighter deadline depending on your requirements.
Bespoke Jewellery FAQs
How much does bespoke jewellery cost?
The cost of a bespoke piece depends on the metal, gemstones and complexity of the design. During your consultation we'll talk through your budget and put together design options with a quote for each, so you know the cost before committing to anything.
There may be ways that we can make a design work with a budget, for example, using 9ct gold instead of 18ct or using lab-grown diamonds instead of natural.
How long does the bespoke process take?
Please allow 6-8 weeks from an agreed design to a finished piece.
If you have a specific deadline - an anniversary or proposal date, for example - let us know early on, as it's sometimes possible to fast-track production depending on the project.
What's the difference between bespoke and customised jewellery?
Bespoke is designed from scratch, built around your brief. Customising means adapting one of our existing designs - changing the gemstone, metal or adding a detail like an engravings.
Both routes are available; customised pieces can usually be completed within a tighter deadline.
Can I use my own gemstones or an inherited piece of jewellery?
Usually, yes. If you have gemstones you'd like reset, or an heirloom piece you'd like transformed into something new, we can incorporate them into a bespoke design using traditional goldsmithing techniques.
Get in touch and we'll talk through what's possible with what you have.
Do you offer payment plans?
We can sometimes accommodate payment plans. We do need to have received 50% of the total cost before we can begin production. We will need to have received the full payment before delivery.
Do I need to visit in person, or can the whole process be done remotely?
We can run the whole consultation over the phone or via Zoom, or meet face-to-face if you're near Brighton or London. Many bespoke clients we work with never need to visit in person.
Is the metal recycled and will my piece be hallmarked?
Yes to both. Bespoke pieces are made using recycled metals and every piece is hallmarked - a legal requirement in the UK that confirms the quality of the precious metal used.
Can I commission a bespoke engagement ring?
Yes - we work with many clients on engagement rings. The process is the same as any other bespoke piece. Get in touch, we'll arrange a consultation and we'll talk through gemstones, metals and design direction from there.
I don't know what I want yet - can you still help?
Yes, that's very common. Bring whatever you have - a materials preference, a mood, images that have caught your eye, even just a story - and we'll help shape it into a design.
