The stars of the constellation are scattered across the sky, tracing a figure pouring water. The sign is tied to ideas, independence and the pull of the future, and is known for its inventive, original way of seeing the world.
In Greek mythology, the water bearer is often identified as Ganymede, a Trojan prince carried off to Olympus by Zeus to serve the gods as cupbearer before setting him among the stars.
